Aspects to consider when creating a website (or a blog):
Conceptual aspects
- Objective of the website: What's the objective we have when creating a website? Do we want to make money (comercial website), do we want to share knowledge, do we want to show things that we do, do we just want to share things that we like, etc.?
- Concept of the website: What's the topic of the website?, What's the main idea?
- Target reader: What kind of people is the website pointed to (young, old, intellectual, maybe only friends). This is important in order to consider what kind of information to upload, and what kind of communication tone to use (formal, informal), and even what language to use (if it's oriented to people from all over the world, we might want to do it in English).
- “Benefit” for the reader: What's the website offering the reader? Why would someone be interested on seeing the website?
Technical aspects
- Kind of website: What kind of website is the most apropiate for the objective we have? (a blog, a wiki, a personal website)
- Size of the website: How many pages is it going to have?
- Design: Does the template adjust to the concept of the website? Does it represent what kind of information you can find in the website? Is the design interesting for the reader? Is it easy to read?
- Applications: What kind of applications (widgets) will our website have? Are they useful for the reader? Are they useful for us?
- Ortography: Ortography and grammar are very important aspects, as they reflect how serious the website is. If it's full of mistakes, the reader will find it very annoying to read, and will not consider it like a serious and respectable website.

Creative Commons licenses
Creative Commons licenses became really popular on the last years, as they are very easy to use and they allow the author to establish the conditions under which his or her work will be shared.
There are 6 different licenses, with different levels of restriction. All of them require attribution, though. This means, that whoever shares you work must say that you are the author.
You can license your work by entering HERE, and generating a Html code to paste on your blog or website, with an image like this:
